The personal site of Tristan Eason
Welcome to my little home on the internet.
Where I write about whatever I find worth noticing. Not here to track you. No contact lists. No courses. No AI-slop. Just me, thinking out loud.
Me in a Nutshell
I'm a simple island boy at heart who's tasted the forbidden fruit of world travel and the finer things in life. A computer habit, applied to real world problem-solving, facilitates that so I can travel when I can, cook most days, eat and drink well, enjoy life, and carve out enough time to spend it here... my little home on the internet.
A man is allowed to contain more than one atmosphere.

Recent writing
All of it →- Note
Aperol at Four, Scotch at Midnight
The same day can hold a bright spritz in the afternoon and a dark dram at the end. Both are honest.
- Dispatch Torino, Italy
Notes from Torino
A dispatch from a city that keeps its best parts under the arcades and behind unmarked doors.
- Rant
The Problem with Restaurant Lighting
A controlled rant about dining rooms lit like operating theaters and the food that suffers under them.
- Review Torino, Italy
An Old Hotel Bar in Torino
A sample review of a bar that understands the difference between service and hospitality.
Music for the Occasion
Three rooms, three moods. Put one on and stay a while.
The day job
I own and operate Vida Tigris, where I build websites, systems, and other useful things. It is one room here, not the whole house.
