The Sandwich Has Structural Responsibilities
A few rules about bread, moisture, heat, and restraint. Sample content, not a final sermon.
The personal site of Tristan Eason
Food, places, ideas, opinions, and the other things that make a life interesting. No niche, no schedule, no strategy. Just me, thinking out loud.
I'm an island boy from Florida with a computer habit, an appetite, and a tendency to think about things longer than strictly necessary. I build for a living, travel when I can, cook most days, eat seriously, and end up here writing about whatever stays on my mind.
A day can start in basketball shorts with a bag of snacks and end in a suit at the opera with a Scotch and a cigar. Both are true. This place is coherent because I am the common thread, not because everything belongs to one topic. Pour something, and have a look around.
A man is allowed to contain more than one atmosphere.
Lately
A few rules about bread, moisture, heat, and restraint. Sample content, not a final sermon.
The same day can hold a bright spritz in the afternoon and a dark dram at the end. Both are honest.
A dispatch from a city that keeps its best parts under the arcades and behind unmarked doors.
A controlled rant about dining rooms lit like operating theaters and the food that suffers under them.
A sample review of a bar that understands the difference between service and hospitality.
Music for the Occasion
Three rooms, three moods. Put one on and stay a while.
The day job
I own and operate Vida Tigris, where I build websites, systems, and other useful things. It is one room here, not the whole house.
